On Saturday July 6, the No. 6 RCAF Museum in Dunnville, Ontario, hosted their annual open house and car show, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Our '46 Chev flatbed stood out, proudly displaying the RCAF flag from the Second World War, in recognition and honour of the airmen who trained in Dunnville during WWII.
The day was filled with excitement, but the highlight was undeniably the flyover by WWII-era Harvard training aircraft. These planes hold a special place in history, having been used to train allied airmen from around the world right here at Dunnville Airport. This key training facility played a crucial role during WWII, contributing to Canada's impressive rise as the fourth largest airpower in the world by 1944. Facilities like Dunnville were instrumental in producing some of the finest aviators of the time.
As experts in low-slope metal roofing repairs, replacements, and waterproofing solutions, we recognize expertise when we see it. The No. 6 RCAF Museum expertly displays and teaches our local chapter in the history of the Second World War.
As we reflect on this fantastic event, we also want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) on celebrating its centennial this year. Here's to a century of excellence and to many more successful events at the No. 6 RCAF Museum. If you missed it this year, mark your calendars for next year&mdashthis is an event you won't want to miss!
